Financial Aid FAQs
Do I have to pay back financial aid?
It depends on the type. Grants and scholarships do not have to be repaid. Loans do, with interest, beginning after you leave school. Our Financial Aid administrator will make clear which is which before you accept anything.
When should I file the FAFSA?
As early as you can once it opens for your award year. Some aid is limited and awarded until funds run out, so filing early gives you the best chance.
What do I need to complete the FAFSA?
Your Social Security number, federal tax information or W-2s, records of untaxed income, and bank or investment information. Dependent students also need their parent’s information.
Can I use veterans benefits here?
Yes. We are approved to accept Veterans Training Assistance benefits. Bring your certificate of eligibility and we will help you from there.
Can I combine scholarships with federal aid?
In most cases, yes. We will explain how each award affects your total cost and any other aid you receive.
What if aid does not cover everything?
That is common. We will go over remaining options, including scholarships, loan programs, and payment arrangements, so you know your full picture before you start.
